Why should you prefer a geared hub motor to direct drive motors?
- internal clutch eliminates drag when riding without assistance.
- internal gearbox yields much higher torque at low speed.
- the rotor spins 4-13 times faster, resulting in a smaller and
lighter motor.
*O.L.D.: stands for Over Lock-nut Dimension. This is the width of
the hub measured from outside of lock nut to outside of lock nut.
There are two motors available (250W – EU and 750W – USA), which
allow you to developed the maximum speeds of 25 km/h (15.5 mph) for
the EU version and 40 km/h (25 mph) for US version. The motor wheel
is built for any wheel sizes between 16-inch and 29-inch, great for
the city, trekking, MTB, gravel, or road bikes.
